My GGG granfather Evan Jones married Charlotte Williams in Myddle, Shrops in 1806. After the birth of several children baptised in Pontesbury, both parents seem to have disappeared. An Evan Jones, 66, harper, appears in the 1851 census for Garthbeibio, with wife Easter 67. It is possible Charlotte died and Evan remarried. Does anyone know the origins of these people. Evan and Charlotte are believed to have had Gypsy backgrounds, and their male progeny were earthenware dealers and were part travellers, part resident.
