Research on the Web shows that this is a common problem with Legacy and many other popular family tree databases because the manufacturers have not updated their software. However, according to what I have read it seems that Roots Magic 4 (standard addition) works perfectly well with Windows 7. Before I buy a copy can any listers who are running Roots Magic 4 with Windows 7 let me know whether it works OK or if they have had any problems. =============== Dear David, My PC has been running under Windows 7 for some time. Unfortunately, I can't directly answer your question because I have no experience of using Roots Magic 4. However, I suggest you consider switching to Family Historian (now in version 4.1) which I *do* use and which works perfectly under Windows 7. The program is updated regularly, and the programmer (Simon Orde) is a regular contributer to the FH User Group and incorporates user's suggestions for new features into each upgrade. I have no commercial interest in FH. Kind regards, John -------------- John Ball Brecon, Mid Wales, UK E-mail: [email protected] Website: http:/www.jlb2005.plus.com/
