    3. Does anyone have any family memories passed down about Vicars Frederick Tompson and John Edward Tompson? They served in several churches in Wales over their careers. Their ancestry is in Staffordshire. Llanllwchaian and Chirk Rev. Frederick Tompson served at Llanllwchaian and Chirk, and is buried there (1880). His wife was Frances Metcalfe, daughter of Vicar John Metcalfe. He was married to Frances in Burton, Staffordshire. Mochdre and Esclusham Rev. John Edward Tompson, married by his Uncle Frederick in Llanllwchaian to Frederick's daughter Caroline Tompson, served at Mochdre for many years. He went from there to Esclusham Church in Rhostylln and has a window dedicated to him there, so must have been well-liked. He moved (1914) when quite elderly to Childswickham in Gloucestershire, where we was still leading the choir when he died (1919). Any memories will be much appreciated. Thank you from Ellen
