Painted on white paper signed "H. Thornton 1844" near his left leg, and held in the frame with replacement heavy paper backing and pins. The picture hangs from brass ring mounted on top of the frame. Paper taped to reverse; "Great Great Grandfather William Price 1840 my Husband name was Alfred Price & lived at New House Boughrood B???? Brecon he was great grandson of the above & the same address & lived there until our marriage in 1949.".
