Dear Nicola Thank you for your input. The baptism sounds as though it could be right but they have the child as male not female, so perhaps another brother of Ann. Re 1861 census you found -that IS my family. John doesn't appear in my research until 1901 census when he is living with Ann/ Johannah as her brother and his age is stated as 73yrs and place of birth Brecon Barracks. Re 1851 census - creates another problem as they are down as nephew and nieces not their children - Ho Hum! Definitely intrigueing.
