Hello listers I wonder if anyone can help me with the translation of a few lines of a poem by Lewis Glyn Cothi. I have seen a translation of this somewhere, but now can find it nowhere on the web. I am looking for a suitable verse of poetry to put on my father's memorial, and I remember that these lines said something about the shelter provided to Cothi by Cwmbiga, my father's birthplace. I think I am interested in lines 7 to 10, or possibly lines 5 to 8 of the following stanzas. So many of the words are archaic that it's impossible to try and translate it using online translation sites. Minnau yn y man yno Drwy vedw'r allt a roav dro; I dy Maredydd y dov, Lle'r eurir llawer erov'; Ac yno tario hyd dydd I Bennant Bacho beunydd. Llechu'n ngrug Cwm Buga, Llwyydwydd im' yr allt oedd dda; Rhodiaw bron Bumlummon las, Rhivaw gwawn rhov a gwanas. Gwyliau o hyn hud Galan Ar y naw mor o'r un man; Thanks Nicola BJ
