    3. David How far back do you have a lineage for John Davie?. I'm trying to find family from William Davis, b. 1640 and his son William, b. 1663 in Llanstephan, Radnorshire (Powys), Wales who emigrated to America in 1684. 3. Hi  all My brick wall is one of the most common in Wales. the name of JONES. Unfortunately for me, John Jones and his wife Miriam nee Roberts of Ruabon were probably one of the many families who did not trust the new census idea and so did not appear in the 1841 census for Ruabon. Also he moved his family to Stoke on Trent soon after his son John was born in 1842, and the earliest info I have of them is in the Stoke on Trent census of 1851. Earlier than that is their marriage in Ruabon in 1837 and the birth of their daughter Hannah in 1838. I would love to know more about John JONES born in 1816 and of Miriam and her Penycae family.
