Hello all I am trying to locate the birthplace of one of my ancestors a Susan Morris. I have found her and her husband and various children on all relavent census's however each one gives different place of birth 1841 Montomeryshire 1851 Fodden (could be Forden) Montomeryshire 1861 Waverton Shropshire 1871 Shropshire 1881 Welshpool Montgomeryshire All have them living in the Welshpool / Pool civil parish. Does anyone know if there is such a place as Waverton within that general area? Many Thanks Simon

Hi, I had a look at the 1861 census. It reads "Salop Worthen". (The index on Ancestry.com has an error.) Worthen is close to Forden and Welshpool. Dear Simon There is a Waverton in Cheshire which is the adjoining county to Shropshire (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waverton,_Cheshire). I hope that is of some help.
