Hello Everyone, I am trying to find out more about my great aunts family (in particular their son John Watkins). What I have so far is below. Because her husband was a police constable I am wondering if there would be any records that might tell me more about the family. Kind Regards from the USA Robert Price   Gwenllian Price and John Watkins married 5 June 1869 at Llangamarch Church. John Watkins a bachelor labourer of Talgarth. Father James Watkins a labourer. Gwenllian Price spinster of Ffynon ab ifan Llangamarch Father John Price labourer. Witnesses William Price and John Hamer. Marriage registered in the Builth district June quarter 1869 vol 11b page 135. The marriage is also recorded in the Llangamarch Parish records. Ffynon ab ifan is the same house that Gwenllian's parents John and Gwen, brother John and William Price were living at on the 1871 census.   On the 1871 census John Watkins age 27 (b1844) Ag Lab born Talgarth, and his wife Gwenllian Watkins age 25 born Merthyr Cynog are living at Pencwyery Pewtre, Pencelly Llanfigan Breconshire (Llanfeugan is now called Talybont on Usk, it is betweem Brecon and Crickhowell). Also at the house are a son John Watkins age 2 born Llangamarch. Also at the same address are a Thomas Rensey age 38 Ag Lab born Llandefalle and his wife Bridget Rensey age 52 born Talachdder. RG10 piece 5581 folio 20 page 14 On the 1881 census John Watkins Railway labourer age 39 born Talgarth,Breconshire and his wife Gwen age 31 born Merthyr Cynog are living at Cottage Llanfigan,Brecon,Wales. Also at the house are a son John Watkins a scholar age 12 born Llanfigan. Also Margaret Watkins married mother of John age 63 (b1818) born Talgarth. RG11 piece 5460 folio 20 page 9 On the 1891 census John Watkins police constable age 46 born Talgarth and his wife Gwenllian age 42 born Merthyr Cynog are living at #10 High Street Trianmawr Llywel,Breconshire(Llywel is about 3 miles west of Sennybridge on A40). Also at the house is a son John Watkins Grocer Assitant age 21 born Llangammarch RG12 piece 4569 folio 8 page 9   There is a death registered in the Brecknock district March 1894 for Gwenllian Watkins age 47 (born abt. 1847) vol 11b page 77. On the 1901 census John Watkins police constable is a widower born Talgarth age 55 is a boarder living at No.2 Oaklands Llanwrthwl Breconshire (near Rhayader). RG13; Piece: 5184; Folio: 95; Page: 2 There is a death registered in the Brecknock district September quarter 1908 for a John Watkins age 63 (b1845) vol 11b page 63.
