Dear Listers, As you have probably realised, our Powys Mailing List is one of a number of RootsWeb lists currently under attack from Spam. In particular, we are receiving a number of messages containing suspicious links. The e-mails can be identified by the fact that they normally have "[Powys] (no subject)" as the subject line, and contain no message other than a hyperlink to a suspicious website. They appear to come from the addresses of bona fide members of the List - but without their knowledge. Please DELETE these messages. DO NOT open these messages, and DO NOT click on the links they contain. I am reporting each incidence to RootsWeb as it arrives. Previous experience shows that these spam attacks do not last very long, and are harmless if you do not click on the links they contain.
