Hi John I was pleased to hear, until . . . The thought occurred to me to test the findmypast search facility, by checking the baptism for Henry Thomas Payne at Llangattock, Brecknockshire, on 30th November 1760. However, I have received the message that there are NO results! Another entry that I understand is present in the Llangattock parish records (from past correspondence via the POWYS list) is the burial of Edward Kendall at Llangattock in March 1807 - but, again, no results . . . ! I'm also interested in the burial of William Williams, who died at Brecon on 27th April 1812, but there also doesn't seem to be a record for him, either. On first trial it would appear that the coverage is not quite so wide or so accurate as claimed . . . ? Looks like I'll have to make the anticipated journey to the Powys County Archives Office after all!
