hi   Is it  possible that Thomas was born in Wales rather than Herefordshire?  If so his baptism might be listed patronymically - the Family Search site seems to list the welsh baptisms up to abt 1812 in this way i.e the surname of the child being listed as the christian name/given name of the father - my grt grt grt g/father was listed as Roger Roger rather than Roger Prosser as his father was called Roger.  Maybe check some of the parishes over the border.  The Hugh Wallis site is useful for this as you can select the church and then just page through looking for potentials (just hit return rather than putting in a surname or first name should give a list of all entries at the specific church).   Hope this helps   Sue ________________________________ From: T Havard <havardsofhay@gmail.com> To: powys@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, 12 June 2012, 12:09 Subject: Re: [POWYS] POWYS Digest, Vol 7, Issue 91 Hello folks still trying to find info on the *Havards* .
