    3. Hi Ruth, Don't feel you need to apologise, it isn't your fault at all. These idiots get kicks at the expense of others unfortunately! All the best, Hilary -----Original Message----- From: powys-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:powys-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of rufhay@aol.com Sent: 15 August 2012 20:06 To: powys@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [POWYS] Powys: Suspect e-mails via RUTH HAYWARD My apologies Hilary & all - I am trying to deal with this problem but as you say my email address book has been hijacked & I don't know what is being sent out in my name. I've added some new protection to my computer & hope this may help. Am not really sure how to deal with it as I've never had this problem before. I have had 3 suspect e-mails, via Powys L and personally from you. Ruth, I don't want to e-mail you personally, in case I corrupt my e-mail account. 3. AOL and HOTMAIL do seem susceptible to this sort of thing often because of their poor security. First thing to do is change passwords even though it is probably too late now. You could check to see if they have actually been sent from your account or just your address used as the "From" address on messages from another account. AOL security might be able to help you, otherwise someone might be able to work out from the message headers. Martin Briscoe Fort William martin@mbriscoe.me.uk
