Hi all Just joined this list to research the family of John BOWEN (1844 Llanfyllen - 1893) & Ellen UNKNOWN (1852 Llanrhaiader - aft 1911). They had 8 children according to the 1911c, and I have the details of the 7 who were still alive then. David - b1878 Meifod - aft 1911 Mariah - b 1880 Meifod - d 28 Mar 1953 (m Henry Treby HEALE and had 3 children) Richard Lewis - b 1882 Salop - possibly still alive after 1919 George - b 1885 Meifod - aft 1911 Charles - b 1886 Salop - aft 1935ish Gwen - b 1889 Salop - d 1978 Oswestry Margaret Ellen - b 1891 Hisland Shropshire - d 1963 Oswestry It is Charles (and his son, Rowland BOWEN) that my father and I are particularly interested in. Charles was sent to prison in 1932 for stealing from his clients - he was a solicitor. But what happened to him after that we cannot trace. Rowland wrote the definative book on the history of cricket. We have all the details that have been posted online on various websites. If anyone has any further information either of this immediate family or relations I'd be very happy to hear from you. Cheers Andy
