Hi Can anyone fill in any details for me about Robert Davies b Llanfair Caereinion April 1839. Son of Robert Davies and Jane Rees. Both parents died young (don't know the cause) and he and his sisters, Mary Ann and Jane Ellin, were brought up by their maternal grandparents, Evan and Mary Rees. I think he died in 1917, but I can't find out anything else about him or his sisters. He was a tailor and fitted one of the carpets at Welshpool Castle - why? He seems to have been quite well known in Welshpool. He married Elizabeth Gittins by licence in Shrewsbury in December 1862 (their first child was born the following month). Also of Richard Owen b 1826 in Newtown, d 1907 Pembroke. A grocer then a Baptist minister, married to Catherine Evans (b 1840). Any other information anyone has about the families would be of interest. Many thanks Frances
