Age father Thomas Davies, cordwainer and mother Mary all match with my Elizabeth. Llangattock, St Cadoc; Abode: Llangattog Parish; County: Brecon Data provider: Gwent Family History Society At the moment I have the Gwent Records researching for the birth so should I ask Powys as well? =================== Dear Marilyn, Gwent Archives does not have an online catalogue of its holdings at present, so I cannot confirm whether Gwent Archives holds a copy of the record you are quoting. However, as I told you in my earlier e-mail, Llangattock baptisms for the period covering 1813-1897 are included in Powys Archives on-line catalogue, so I suggest contacting the Powys Archives would be a sensible option. There is an online contact form at: http://www.powys.gov.uk/index.php?id=1013&L=0 Please note that the record you are seeking is a baptism/christening, not a birth. For us people far away, it becomes rather confusing with the Church called St Cadoc and all being Llangattock so forgive my ignorance when it comes to sorting out churches and their locality I appreciate all the help the list has been able to give me Cheers Marilyn from Western Australia
