Hi Carroll Sorry I haven't replied to you earlier. I'm afraid I haven't got very far with my Watsons as I have had a few family commitments this last year. I really hope to carry on now but am a bit stuck. Look forward to hearing from you. Chris
Hi Carrol, Do you think they were at the Wern ot elsewhere? I can try a Gladstry contact by phone perhaps?? When is your next visit here?? Best wishes, Dennis Cleaton, Llandrindod.
Hi list, I am trying to find a baptism of Hannah WORTH dau of Joseph and Jane WORTH 1790-6. She was born Brecknock and Joseph was a travelling doctor. It is possible she was baptised elsewhere but the good doctor turns out to be a rogue as he is already married and will have five more children with Jane before deserting her. Any thing regarding the "doctors " sojourn in Brecknock would be useful. It is possible indeed likely Hannah was born out of wedlock so I don't know if removal papers or Setttlement Examiantions may exist. mike http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~spire/Yesterday/index.htm
I seem to have lost my gt gt grandmother MARTHA EDWARDS who was born in 1827 at Llandegla, Denbighshire and who had an illegitimate son Richard in 1851. She married JOHN JONES labourer (father THOMAS) from Llansaintffaid in 1855 in Ruabon, her age was 25 and his 24, witness EMMA JONES.She left her son Richard in Ruabon with her sister Elinor. I have found a John and Martha living in Llansaintffaid in the 1861 and 1871 census's but Martha's birth place is Llandrino in 1861 and Salop St Chard in 1871.I've also traced a Thomas Jones in 1841 census living at Trewylan, Llansaintffaid who had a son John born 1831 and a daughter Emma born 1835. In 1861 John and Martha are living in Croft Lane Llansaintffaid and in 1871 at Trewylan Cottage. Thomas was living in Bank Cottage in 1871 with grandson THOMAS HENRY JONES aged 14 months. In 1881 John had married Ann and Thomas Henry Jones was down as his son aged 11 so if he was married to my Martha Edwards then Thomas Henry would be my gt grandfathers half brother. Is anyone able to help me sort this mess out please? I'm at my wits end and don't know where to go from here. Thanks Ann
Trying to re-establish contact with Chris Thomas. We corresponded via this list in 2005 re William Watson of the Wern, Gladestry. The email address I have may be stale, and I would like to re-connect with her re the Watson's of Kinnerton. Look forward to hearing from you Chris. Carrol Drew Mississauga, Canada

Lesley / Lyn Or even a week, not necessarily a week ago, eg going to stay somewhere for a se'nnight would be going for a week I think.
