    3. Lewis Thornton Powell, born 22 Apr 1844, is one son of George Cader Powell. Another son, George Washington Powell and his descendants are listed in kit 60753, white group, R1b1a2. George Cader Powell and family settled in Orange County, Florida, before 1870. My ancestor, William Powell, born 1815 in Georgia, also appears there in the 1870 census. My brother's kit is 108067 in the gold group, R1b1a2. I have tried unsuccessfully to connect our family with George Cader Powell, even though they settled in the same area, which later became Seminole County. Lewis Thornton Powell's remains were moved to the Geneva Cemetery, Geneva, Seminole County, Florida in 1990. Sharon (Powell) Tate's email address was powelltate@hotmail.com. I have not communicated with her in several years. Mary Esther (Powell) Raker Researching Powell, Stripling, Johnson, Rabun, Ball, Lee, Vaughan, Raker, Stokley, Strickland, Hall, Vickers

    3. Hi All, I suspect my GGGGrandfather Reverend Hiram Powell who lived in the same town is related also since he married George Cader Powell, the father of Lewis Thornton Powell. I do not have any proof as of yet but the hunt continues.
