Kit 251728n matches a lot of the R1b1a2 kit. Becky plans to upgrade soon but is hoping for some help before then. Please take time to check her information. Thanks. Carolina, then to Jones County, Ga.(possibly Houston County first). He died Dec. 28, 1858, buried in Powell/Byrd Cemetery in Jones Cty. He was married to Catherine Sarah Wilkinson born 1782, died circa 1850 and buried in same cemetery. Her parents were Elisha and Sarah Waters Wilkinson. Sarah Waters Wilkinson was also buried in same cemetery. Their children were: . Anne, born 1802 in Virginia or N.Carolina, married John Byrd 7-17-1829 in Jones Cty. Carolyn, born 1808 in Va. or Ga, married Gilford Sikes 12-13-1838 in Jones Cty. John, Jr, born 1810 (or 1817) in Va. or Ga. married (1) Mary Hawkins 1-29-1839 (2)Mary Brim 2-26-1852, Jones Cy. (These first three had different states for birth and John different ages in later census') Sarah, born 1817 in Jones Cty, married George Byrd 8-8-1839 in Jones Cty, Ga Pleasant, born 1819, Jones Cty, married Emily Crockett Mary (?), born (?), married Benjamin D. White 3-28-1832, moved to Houston Cty, Ga. There is a condensed version of my present tree in my son's Kit 251728 which seems to be wrong unless there was an adoption somewhere and stories that are in my expanded tree makes that entirely possible but I have no idea that could be found. I have had professional researchers in Virginia and Georgia, Natl. Archives,Jones Cty. records, The Macon Library in Bibb Cty which is next to Jones and has all the Jones Cty and Virginia records and no one has come up with anything about my John's father. I got my continuing line from Silas Lucas "Powell Book on the Powells of Va. and the South". I felt I had the right lines because I could find nothing to deny it until my son's dna indicated it must be wrong. We are going to upgrade the Ydna from 12 to 67. Hope that helps but in the meantime if anyone has the above John anywhere in their tree, I would appreciate hearing from you. Many thanks Becky Powell
