    3. Jeanne asked the question, but the reply might be helpful to others.   I don't send out the "Match" messages.  These come from FTDNA.  Having the kit number would only help if the match was within our project as I don't show kits that aren't in our project on our website.   The match message does tell you how many markers are in the match and you know when you received the match.  With these two pieces of information go to your myFTDNA website.  Click on the Y-DNA tab and select Matches from the drop down list.  Enter the number of markers from the message into the For box and click on the Run Report button.  If the report is not in date sequence click on the Match Date heading.  If the newest date is at the top your ready to go.  If not click on the Match Date heading again.   You should now have a list of matches for the requested number of markers in date sequence.  The one at the top should be the one the message referred to.  By clicking on the person's name you'll get information about him, including his e-mail address.   If the person is in our project I'll be sending out a message within a day or two giving you the kit number and the number of markers that have been added which should agree with the number of markers in the message from FTDNA.   The Match message from FTDNA is not private.  It goes to all kit holders the match applies to. The email is private???? Very frustrating. Jeanne Powell Tutor

    3. Hi Jim My kit # is 131090 I have a request from a female "Z"who suggests that her Grandmother "X"born 1928? And illigetimate and put up for adoption. The named biological?mother was my Aunt, next youngest to my Dad We do know that my Aunt had a daughter "B"born 1930 also out of wedlock. "B" has three children "C", "D" & "E" A - my Aunt (deceased) B - daughter of "A" C (male), D (male) & E(female) - children of "B" X - female in question (deceased) Y - daughter (deceased) of "X" Z - daughter of "Y" and person making inquiry X states that she has adoption record stating "A" as the mother, no father named. She has already provided me with the unusual but correct name of my Aunt. Z has offered to forward a copy of adoption record, but in the meantime I'm looking for other solutions. Is there any way of making a match or confirming any biological relationship between "B" and "Z?" Or C, D & E to Z I also have a suspicion that Z is after some sort of financial arrangement since B has lots of money and she is well known inher community Thanks for your interest Bev Powell.
