I can tell you on my line it is correct to a point. 1. My Eaton is not listed as a son of Aaron who lived in Halifax Co. NC. Although he did say Aaron had another son that did not grow up to maturity. I beg to differ. 2. The line is correct back to William Powell married to Elizabeth ???. This line was living at one time in Isle of Wight Co. VA, but was not connected to the Isle of Wight Powells that go back to Thomas Powell as Lucas states. In fact, this William Powell moved to Isle of Wight Co. from Gloucester Co. and his wife's name was Elizabeth Dobson. This lines up with why I don't match the other Powells who do descend from Thomas (ya think?) So, just don't take everything in this book as gospel, and I agree that we have much more available sources than he did when he wrote this book.
