    3. Hello all it seems that everyone is researching the Powell line in NC,VA,GA,TENN,Texas. I am wondering if any Powells have ancestors that went to Missouri in the 1800s? Just checking as I still have not found anyone that is directly in my line. Thank You. Craig Powell

    3. My husband's Powell family went to Illinois from Tennessee in 1830. According to his DNA, he descends from the Isle of Wight Powells. One of them went on to Newton County, Missouri. My brick wall is with his 2nd great grandfather Benjamin Bridges Powell, b.c. 1801 in TN. I cannot figure out who his parents were. You can see his descendants with dates and locations at http://jpbdna.com/powell-family-dna-project-153146.htm Kit # 153146, the Gold Group. 3. Dan, What Haplogroup are you? I have seen several instances of Powell going to Mo. None of my line went there though. If I run across that documentation again I will announce it. Knowing your Haplogroup is key. Chasing the incorrect haplo will not help you Thanks Larry Powell T - kit 229909 Sent from my iPhone On Jun 14, 2013, at 6:16 PM, Craig Powell <donnacraig@hughes.net> wrote: > > Hello all it seems that everyone is researching the Powell line in > NC,VA,GA,TENN,Texas. 3. My Powells ended up in Ray Co. Mo in about 1862 - We have hit a wall on Ambrose Powell and Margaret Holway from Tipperary Ireland- Ambrose and Margaret died in the early 1820's and a lot of their children went to the Woodstock/Hamilton area of Canada. My line- George Powell (kit# 232660) was the one that went to Missouri- I know his sister Margaret Powell Duncan (James) went to Antelope Co. Nebraska. We thinks a sister- Temperance-went back and forth to Ireland. I would really appreciate any help on Ambrose b. 1775 and Margaret- Linda -----Original Message----- From: powell-dna-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:powell-dna-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Craig Powell Sent: Friday, June 14, 2013 5:17 PM To: powell-dna@rootsweb.com Subject: [POWELL-DNA] Powell dna Hello all it seems that everyone is researching the Powell line in NC,VA,GA,TENN,Texas.
