Got it figured out- Adkins, Enoch and JOICE Powell Have made a good discovery.  Sorry I went on such a red herring- reupped at Ancestry when they gave a good deal for six months. On reading the document of property split of Charles Powell, deceased, 1815 -  it is not "William Brewer Jr, gone his wife" -- It is "William Brewer Jr, *ampersand* Joice his wife. Better yet- there is a tree "the Walker tree" on ancestry.com by SueBoop that lists a Joice Powell, born 18 January 1794 NC, died July 1870, Van Buren County, Arkansas (mortality schedule record). Joice had one son (as listed by SueBoop)-- named ENOCH.  born TENNESSEE 1819. SueBoop goes on to record William Brewer's ancestry.  His daddy, Jonas Brewer died in ROBERTSON COUNTY, TN in 1853.  And Jonas' daddy?  George Brewer, died 1807 CHATHAM COUNTY, NC, 1807. an 1850 census shows Wm and Joyce living in Giles, Van Buren County, TN. They have one daughter living at home, Anpalet E Brewer, born in KY 1834. Sorry for the all caps, but I'm doing the dance of the happy pants- uh huh, uh huh! ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to POWELL-DNA-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
