One of the problems, as I have point out before, is that all of the companies don't report the same markers. In most cases where they are reporting the same markers they report them in the same way but there are a few cases where they don't. Why? I don't know. Maybe it is like some people use the meteric system for measurement while others use the English system. FTDNA tries to use Internationally accepted methods. When those standards change FTDNA changes. We saw that this year when our Haplogroup K members became Haplogroup T. At the same time we saw several other changes in which sub-clade some members belonged to. I think the site Jim provides as a VOLUNTEER administrator is so much better than many of the other Y-dna Surname Projects at FTDNA. The coloring of the connected members, family lines attached to the kit#'s, the inidcations of the odd markers, all of this takes time for a project this large.
