Its a contact, I've established, withe stephen's family which prompted me to submit a DNA tes My Maternal Powells were Robert and Nancy(Beatty) Powell, They were both born about 1775/1777 in County Armaugh, Northern Ireland. They and seven of their eight children immigrated to canada sometime between 1815 and 1819 settling in Elizabethtown Township, Leeds County, Ontario, Canada (This area is directly across the St Lawrence River from New York State). Their eldest daughter was Mary (my 3G Grandmother), who married jacob smith and they immigrated about 1822. Their other children were William, David, James, Sarah, Ann, Joseph andd Eleanor. William and James moved to the US and only James returned to Canada. , So I hope I'll be able to connect with some new relatives. To avoid any confusion, I'm a male version of Beverley.
