There are either errors in the research, or there may have been an adoption somewhere in one of the lines. This is a good example of why we need documentation to support each and every generation of our pedigree. Perhaps Alice will share with you the documentation she has collected for her line since she is the one you do have a match to. I would be interested in knowing what she has, as it has been interesting to me that we appear to have multiple immigrant ancestors in the Gold Group. I descend from the Thomas Powell of Isle of Wight, not the Thomas who married Mary Place, so I am not much use to you in finding your missing links.
