    3.   Hi Chris,   I agree with Allen SR. being the father of your Allen.   As I mentioned in the following, Allen starts 1820 Pendleton Dist, SC with 3 sons, 1830 Pickens,SC with 8 sons and arrives in 1840 Cass Co.,GA with 6. Seeing the DNA Results for William M. 1805 SC. I am assuming William M. and Sampson are the sons of Allen left behind and that he arrived in SC before 1805.      In 1820 Josias Powel, Pickens Co, SC, 1 son. 1830 Josias has his 3 sons.  In 1840 Josias 1789 NC still has his 3 sons living with him but had stayed behind in Pickens Co., SC.  We know George M. Powell is Josia's son and have assumed Ashley  1820 SC to also belong to Josias.     Since we are only missing one son for Josias and we know that James Dison (my line)  and Josiah S. Powell were brothers I am giving them both to Allen SR. as sons.  Also James Dison and Josiah S.'s father in law Hosea Butler migrated with Allen to Cass Co., GA and then in 1850 Allen SR is living next door to Hosea Butler.   Allen 1822 SC is in Cherokee Co., GA for the 1850 census nearer his in laws before heading to Gordon Co., GA in time for the 1860 census.   Sampson doesn't make it to Gordon Co., GA until 1880 but then is right next door to Cyrus also an assumed son of Allen SR..   TTYL~Diane
