    2. I was not one who asked about the Georgia Land Lottery, but was one who stated that a John G. Powell, 1775, was a lucky winner, having fought in the War of 1812. He died in GA about 1849 or so. Although I have attempted to link him to my John G. Powell, 1764, I have been unable to do so. At one time, I had some knowledge that he was in TN when he entered. So far as I can remember no one has proven that he is not related, but I could be wrong.
