    2. My Pennsylvania Mom's BBQ came from a can We ate it, seconds too. Hair now gray, most states & more have traveled - lived in multiple. Ate BBQ when I could. Some(Lots) in Texas, less in Carolinas Been in Georgia now some 20 yrs, search continues but BBQ here is below the line. Texas without doubt the very best - the rest? I'd eat more - except in GA. #85885 In a message dated 5/8/2008 7:17:36 AM Eastern Daylight Time, [email protected] writes: I live in Jacksonville, Fl, BUT learned to make REAL BBQ in North Carolina and Virginia before moving here. 3. Skip, If you are ever in Columbus, GA, try the BBQ there. There is one restaurant that has been in business many year, moved from Phenix City, AL, named Chicken Comers - they don't service chicken, but pork. Their sauce is a hot mustard base, it's great. Another, not far from the first, is Fat Freddies, his hot tomato base sauce is wonderful. The BBQ is served chipped, chopped or sliced. Neither of these are sweet. Take care, all. 3. ** Reply Requested by 5/9/2008 (Friday) ** Well, no matter where it is, I bet the best B-B-Q would be had in large room with all of us together! Meanwhile, back at the "DNA" ranch, I have a theory I'd like to discuss with you Reb, can you contact me off line? Also, that letter you wanted translated is still with me. In all the turmoil I forgot I had it. Check with me and I'll send it back to you. Thanks, David DAVID E. 3. I believe you choice in BBQ is based on where you grew up, not your genetic makeup so this might be a bit off topic. Being from Texas I'll take beef brisket or pork ribs as my BBQ of choice. I think David hit the nail on the head. Good food & good people!
