Jim: Got both your E-mails I have not recieved anything from the FTDNA was this my results? Your other E-mail said they were having trouble getting values for markers 13-25 and I got an E-mail from Pat Springer saying I seem to match everyone in the group. I think you also wanted only the male line I had mailed my entire outline desc. tree to you. I'll go back and add 1-4 to the attached list I did when we first started. if this is what you are looking for. Most people have only four peaks, but some have five or more. We have one person with five. Today, as administrator of this project with FTDNA, I was copied on a message to one of our members. This member has three peaks at DYS-CDY. Most people have only two. He also has three peaks at DYS385. Again most people have only two. >From FTDNA: "In some instances of testing the lab finds that there are more >allele values than are usually found at a specific marker location. These Multiple Alleles are, at this time, not able to be displayed in our database so our results expert evaluates the values returned and assigns the values that best fit your haplotype to the databases. Multiple Alleles can be helpful in confirming recently related individuals (two men with the same surname who match each other, and other males with the same surname, but who do not have multiple alleles, are more recently related to each other than to the others with the same surname and same marker values who do not have the multiple allele values)." They go on to say: "Your multiple allele values are found at DYS# 385 a/b/c and they are 13,14, and 18. We have assigned the values of 13 and 14 to the database for your sample." Now this sounds strange enough, but in a follow up message they told me that there are six others members in our project who have three markers at DYS385 and that they all have the same values as given above. What does all of this mean. If you are lucky enough to be one of these seven men you are much more closely related than the predictions shown indicate. As far as I know only one of our members know about this match and he doesn't know who the other six are. This person has a 37 marker kit and so far FTDNA has only reported markers 1 - 12 and 26 - 37. The seven members are 33727, 36209, 67481, 91869, 107720, 126021 and 132854. 132854 is the only kit with the three peaks at DYS-CDY. You can locate these kit at the top of the first table. They are all in Haplogroup T (this was Haplogroup K). I hope all of you will work together to find that common ancestor. Good luck! We are on the leading edge of new research.
