Hannah, As long as we have different companies selling tests we'll have different website. At least two companies have public websites: Ysearch and Ybase. The first is run by FTDNA and they make it easy for their customers to load their data to the website. Maybe 25% of our members have used it. Since different companies use different markers and report the same results with different values the conversion becomes very confusing. Of course the different companies have different types of websites for their customers and offer different levels of support. Some have project administrators and some don't. I'm the administrator for the Barrett Project at Ancestory.com. There is a Powell Project there but I haven't been able to learn anything about it. It is possible for non-members of Ancestry.com to load data into their database, not included in the two above. I don't think any of the companies, including FTDNA provide a means to set up a website like we have. I know it isn't the nicest looking site but I hope it serves the purpose of allowing us to share our data and I do accept results from other companies. Just a note of support. I belong to another ftDNA group, and yours is so sophisticated by comparison. I really appreciate it, and also your efforts to support the participants and to help us understand the "ins-and-outs" of this complicated new science.
