    2. Since we are rather active today - has anyone traced themselves to a Ware who changed his name to Powell in the 1700s. Cannot call his name at present. There is also a Female Powell, who married, divorced in TN, and had the names of her children changed to Powell. Again the name slips my mind. There is also a Female Powell, who married and adopted 2 Powell boys. When they became of age, they changed their names back to Powell (at least as I recall).
