Barbara appears to have been born in LancasterCoPA. Both died in NewSewickleyTwp(BeaverCo)PA. They were married Abt 1789, probably where her parent then lived and their 13 kids (1790-1819) born, which was South of current day Pittsburgh, an area where County changes in the late 1700s/early 1800s had the first 5born in Washington Co & 8 in what was called MiffinTownship Allegheny Co. Probably all were born on the same acres. This Powell tribe moved by 1815 to New Sewickley Twp(BeaverCo) where Joseph/Barbara bought at auction a 236 acre farm. MYSTERY: Joseph origins. One idea: He immigrated (unable to confirm via the available incomplete immigration records) from Baden-Baden(Germany) nearby was the Beam homeland. This per info on the Morman Site.
