    3. This deed seems important, but...the deed mentions "Cader Powell, Junr." Now I don't know how they counted things like Junior in 1769, but there being a junior suggests to me that there was a senior. Wouldn't that make the deed's Cader Dempsey's brother?     3. Hi Ken... I think she has them mixed up a little ... The Demsey in the deed is the son of George Powell (tax records of 1769) ... and I think Dempsey Powell is a different person from Wake County... I have to look at my rec's more to get all this straight ... I've been working on a Cader Powell in North Carolina Index to try to straighten them all out ... It looks like for awhile there EVERYBODY named a son Cader or Keder ... It's almost worse than "John" ... It seems logical that most men with identical names were blood kin, but neither Junior nor Senior was used to so indicate.
