Elaine, Thanks, I had heard of this before and had failed to find the OCR in MS but I tried again and did find it. I'm using MS Windows XP and MS Office Professional 2003 so I'm out of date. This OCR works good on nice clean documents. I need this for another project but it was a major failure on the Powell pages. These are "diry" images from microfilm. MS OCR got less than one letter per line on the page I tested.
