Susan,   Have him/them use the following link to place the order(s): http://www.familytreedna.com/group-join.aspx?code=E35819&Group=Powell  This will automatically add them to the Powell project.  You may need to offer to pay or at least help pay for the kit.   Good luck. 3. Dear Powell-DNA members, I recently purchased a copy of the Lucas book "Powell Families of Virginia and the South" which I hope will help with my Powell family research. I know that DNA as well as other research since publication has proved that some information in the book is incorrect. Does anyone know for certain which family information in the book is definitely wrong? I do not want to waste time on researching family lines with erroneous information. Thanks for any help you can provide. Sincerely, Debbie Powell

    3. On my line has a lot wrong. Never trust a genealogy book. Use it for clues to help you PROVE YOUR line. Rev. Lucas didn't have the resources we have today. So, he had to do a lot of supposition. Unfortunately, there are way too many people who take his book as Gospel.
