This same person has had an attorney sent threats of legal action against anyone making negative comments about said person. During the winter sale members of the International Society of Genetic Genealogy (ISOGG) took up a collection and purchased a Family Finder test for Benjaman. Since then a AncestryDNA kit has been purchased by Benjaman using my Ancestry.com subscription. We are waiting for them to receive that kit. We have been lucky enough to have some very experienced people join in the search. The shorter story is that we are still looking, but we have not identified him. Facebook has been fabulous for my Powell line. I've found numerous folks I never met and have learned a great deal from them. They have also posted many old pictures of family that I would have never seen otherwise. I set up a Facebook page just for our particular paternal line. You can always tighten down Facebook to the degree that you don't have to see or share any more than you want to. Granted, you have to keep up with Facebook changes to make sure they don't disable your choices. A surviving daughter, Amey Powell, married Anthony Buckner Thomas c. 1755 also recorded in the St Paul's Parish Register. He dies with a will in 1780 in Halifax County, Virginia, survived by Amey Powell Buckner. Winnie Edmonds, adaughter is left goose feathers in his will. Any ideas here on the origins of my William Powell line or why I am not getting messages from Rootsweb.com e-mail lists to which I am subscribed. Will see if this come back to me on the list.
