Yes, I know the parents of my Green Powell. His father was James Powell born 1759 in Isle of Wight . His son George left information that his father was John Powell born 1735 and his mother was Alesa (Alice) Dunn brewer born 1735 . They had 3 children James the oldest, John and Elizabeth. For everyone's information, just to keep down confusion, in my Powell Line and yours, I have a Green Oliver Powell, born 1824, in Hall County, Ga.. He moved with his parents to Dade/Walker Co. Ga, married a Martha Ann Stewart, from Alabama, and lived in Calhoun Co. Al. for a few years, then moved back to Rising Fawn, Dade Co. and Lookout Mt. Ga.. He is buried with his wife, in the Powell Cemetery, on top of Lookout Mt. on the Ga. side. Know I am suppose to delete the messages below, but this post is just to let people know if they run into this Green Oliver Powell, that he is in the "T" Haplogroup, and should not be mixed into any other Haplogroup.
