I have added a new link to our website. It follows the link for mtDNA which is located below the second table. It is a link to a table showing our unique 12 marker Y-DNA Haplogroups. This is copied form a FTDNA web page for our project with their permission. I did verify that the link was present and that it did work before posting this message. Does anyone have Powells in Christian Co. KY? It borders Montgomery Co. TN where my Eaton Powell lived. In fact, Ft Campbell, KY encompasses land that is also in Montgomery Co. TN and I strongly believe that the land owned by Eaton's father-in-law, Thomas Causey is now part of Ft. Campbell. Linda Garrett kit 97957

A few weeks ago I reported that several of our Haplogroup "T" kit had Multiple Allele Peaks at DYS385 & DYSCDY. Suspecting the same was true for kit 135679 I contacted FTDNA after receiving the values for this kit. See the reply below. CDY is 35+36+36. So for DYS 385 his values are 13,14, and 18 and 13 and 14 were reported, and for CDY 35 and 36. There are either errors in the research, or there may have been an adoption somewhere in one of the lines. This is a good example of why we need documentation to support each and every generation of our pedigree. Perhaps Alice will share with you the documentation she has collected for her line since she is the one you do have a match to. I would be interested in knowing what she has, as it has been interesting to me that we appear to have multiple immigrant ancestors in the Gold Group. I descend from the Thomas Powell of Isle of Wight, not the Thomas who married Mary Place, so I am not much use to you in finding your missing links. Lee caught me again. Kit 134082 has a value of 13 for DYS392, not 31 as I reported before. Kit 135679 has been added with markers 1 - 37. Thanks.
