I am very sad to report that I learned from Ilene Jones that June Powell Orton passed away this past December. June was a very active researcher of Tennessee and Kentucky Powell families and had compiled a great deal of information about them because she was trying to find where her Kentucky line fit in. She helped me immensely with my Ambrose Powell line, and had correspondence with many of his ancestors.
