I found Peter Powell and William Powell in the 1786 Poll Tax for Wayne Co NC. Peter Powell I have as my ggggg grandfather if this is the same Peter Powell father of Elizabeth Powell who married Stephen Toler of Wayne Co NC. John Marshall Toler named Peter Powell as her father. I found Peter and William in the same district. I have not found a document of any Powell family at that time is there any?? I would appreciate any help. Tim Casey
