Hi My name is Brenda and I am looking for the parents of Feby/Pheobe Powell who married William Stanton Dec 25 1794 Madison Co VA. For parents of Pheobe, I look at the Powells that were in the Culpeper and Orange Co VA area where the Stantons were from, but can not place Pheobe with any of them for sure. Pheobe, according to the 1850 Russell Co KY Census shows that she was born abt 1775. Children of William and Pheobe are: Thomas, William, Thomeson, Nancy, Isreal, Fannie, Palina/Polina, Jeremiah, John Green. Does anyone know who Pheobe might belong to?

Was that name spelled Staton sometimes. I have Statons from VA into the SCKY region which takes in Russell Co.
