Hello List cousins, I am looking for the family of William POWELL b. abt 1778. He married 25 Dec 1798 in Halifax Co., Virginia, Nancy NELSON b. abt 1780 in Virginia (date and place from Census). William died 10 Feb 1847 in Van Buren Co., Iowa. I do not know where Nancy died but it was 18 Feb 1860 according to the family bible. I have proof of one son, Edward POWELL b. 1804 who married in 1826 a Sarah ---. This Edward was Executor to William's Estate. I also believe another son of William and Nancy may have been a Daniel N. POWELL who married a Rebecca. He was listed in the next County to Van Buren, Wapello, in 1850. I have all the children for Edward and Sarah, but am trying to locate the POWELL's in the Halifax, VA area.
