Found this at the Virginia Historical Society web site, searching Seymour Powell. "Include deed (abstract copy made by Samuel Sheild in 1841), 1798, of Mrs. Ann Burt, Dorothy Hewitt, Mary Hewitt, Elizabeth (Drury) Powell, and Seymour Powell to Corbin Griffin for "Wormeley's Creek Tract," York County, Va.; deed (abstract copy), 1809, of William Goosley to Thomas Griffin for land in York County, Va.; deeds (abstracts made in 1846), 1779-1798, of land in York County, Va., owned by William Goosley, Corbin Griffin, Thomas Griffin, and others; and deeds (abstracts), 1788-1808, for land in Williamsburg and York County, Va., owned by Edmund Randolph, St. George Tucker, George Wythe, and others" Are Elizabeth and Seymour Powell the ones that went to Georgia? If so how are they connected to the Burt and Hewitt families? This Seymour Powell is listed as 1749-1818. Any help will be appreciated and thanks. MJ Zimmerman
