Kim: Thanks for your response. I have seen the name Zachariah Powell somewhere in my notes as I have worked in SC on other families, and in addition there were Powells in Hancock Co. Ga. where I did extensive work. Ga has wonderful USGENweb archives, and they are always uploading (more than the VA state I am working on) so do try a search in there again.
