Does anyone have a Powell/Kelley connection? They may have come from GA and or Alabama to TX. Cass County, TX. I don't know if they came as a family or as children with their individual families. I've been told he was James Irwin Kelley. She was supposed to be Fannie (Frances?) Powell. I only know the name of one child, John K. Kelley born in Cass County, TX 1865 or was it 1856. If it was 1856 I can find the family but not 1865. He may have had a sister named Mae (May) Orville. She married a Dean and had 2 children before she died and we have no records of her. These people were living, raising families in the Northeast part of Texas. Red River County, Cass County, Bowie County, Lamar County, Morris County (The son John K. married his first wife Rebecca Ann Dean in this county in Dec. 1880.) and there are more counties. Ruth
