Mary Jean, I would absolutely love to help someone else but I can't get any further back than Thomas C. Powell, my ggrandfather of Gainesville, Hall Co Ga. Thomas was born in 1863/64 in GA and died in August, 1943. No family info on obit or death certificate. He and family are on 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930 census. He married Savannah VAndessa Pierce of Hall Co GA September 25, 1887. No Powell's or Pierce's claim them.
