Powell III and I was raised near Anniston, Alabama. My father was born and raised in same area. My grandfather was Thomas E. Powell or Elisha T. Powell and was raised near Gadsden, Alabama and died in Calhoun County, Alabama. My grandmother maiden name was Clark and she was borm and died in Calhoun County, Alabama. There are some Powell's buried near Rabbit Town, Alabama (only on old maps) and from what my brother told me it is near Hoakes bluff,AL. which is off HWY 431 east of Gadsden, AL.
