She seems to appear on the 1865 Mass. State Census living in Melrose in the household of her daughther, Josephine. This census gives specific place of birth, Mary Ann lists Hudson, NH. Samuel D. Powell was apparently a partner in the 1830's in Lowell to William Spaulding Blood, in a bakery named Blood & Powell. There is a birth for another child of Samuel & Mary Ann's, a son, listed in Charlestown VR's; name was Dorence Powell. Record states 1831 or 1837? But it would have to have been 1837. So far, I cannot find anything further on that son. Still cannot locate Mary Ann in 1850 or 1860 census! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
