    3. Like several other people I've searched over the years for Hannah Powell born 1779, daughter of Robert Powell, who died in Berkeley Springs VA (now WV).  Hannah wed 5/12/1798 in Frederick Md. Luke A. Gardner born 1776. Luke and Hannah had 10 children and later moved to Nelson County Kentucky and then on to Putnam County Indiana.    All I can find on Hannah's father is that his name was Robert ( 1749 - 1824 or 1829).  Robert's children were Hannah, Martha 1774-1866 wed Francis Watson, Mary 1781-? wed John Stidley or Steidley, and Lydia Elizabeth 1782-? wed William Bartlett.  I have never found any mention of Robert's wife.  If any one has any other details, I'd certainly appreciate hearing about Robert and family.
